Training Weekend
This past weekend, the domestic members of the US Wildwater Sprint Team got together for a weekend of training since the weather was unseasonable warm. On saturday we were able to do some attaining/sprints on the "Narrows" of the Susquehanna near Marysville. While sunny and sort of warm(high 40's) it was very windy and on a river 3/4 a mile wide it made making some of the moves interesting. Later that day we headed down below the York Haven Dam also on the Susquehanna for some big wave training. You can see from the video it was quite big. Then on sunday we did three lowish runs on the Codorus. Fortunately I was able to avoid the piton rock in upper dee's all 3 times so I was pretty happy. It was a great weekend considering it was January and it was in the 20's the week before.
